A good old fashioned hard copy is always a good idea but these other resources are also available to make the bible accessible to everyone.

Kindle app / kindle reader– bible available in a variety of translations and if you have visual impairment you can make the print very large. Also if you are using the Kindle app and have a learning disability,such as dyslexia, the script can be put into a accessible type called Open Dyslexic font and the screen colour can be altered, in the  “Aa” setting tab. 

Audible app – NIV Bible available, read by David Sutchett.

Holy Bible App also called “You version”   Multiple translations (many downloadable and available off line) , reading plans and commentaries.  Search function,  Bible reading plans, verse for the day.   Available as an android app in google play store and Apple iOS app in the App Store …This is literally the bible in your pocket. 

The New Testament for Anyone commentary Series (by Tom Wright).

Any life application study bible or study bible – available on Amazon, in Living stones etc. – these have a small amount of commentary in the footnotes, a subject index and other information and introductions to each book of the library.

There are many translations of the bible available, it is a good idea to have a variety as this can give a new perspective to something you have read before whilst also bearing in mind that some translations a more of a paraphrase and others are more word for word translations – each has its place in helping us read our bible and draw us closer to God.
