*Small groups are still meeting but via Zoom*
Small groups are an important part of our church life.
David Alston looks after the organisation of our small groups.
Around 100 people of all ages already participate in the wide variety of small groups which meet during the week either at the church or in local homes across Elvetham Heath and the environs of Fleet.
Worshipping together on Sunday is at the heart of our weekly programme at The Church on the Heath, but it is very hard to get to know everyone in a rapidly growing church. And that’s where home groups offer something special.
They provide an opportunity to meet regularly, in an informal atmosphere, with a small group of up to a dozen people. Together we take a look at what God says to us about everyday life through the Bible, while getting to know one another and having fun and – of course – enjoying some refreshments!
The Church on the Heath has a variety of groups meeting on weekdays, including a Ladies Fellowship group on a Thursday morning, in the Church building. There are home groups that meet on the Heath at 930 on a Thursday morning and in Fleet fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon.
There are also several groups meeting weekly in people’s homes at 8pm:
- Tuesday fortnightly in Church Crookham (730 – 9pm).
- Wednesday at Ancells Farm, two groups on the Heath (both fortnightly), one on Zebon Copse, and one in Fleet.
- Thursday in Crookham Village and on the Heath.
There is no expectation of existing Bible knowledge and no one is put on the spot!
Our groups have also taken a break before Easter so that we could all participate in the Lent Groups organised by Churches Together in Fleet and Crookham.
If you would like to try one of these groups, please contact the church office who will point you in the right direction, speak to David after Church one Sunday or email him.
