We are looking for a new administrator…

The Church on the Heath in Fleet has a great opportunity for an Administrator to join our busy Church Office team.

The Church Office plays a key role managing our modern building in Elvetham Heath and provides a range of support for staff, volunteers and other aspects of church operations.

The successful candidate will work alongside and report to our Church Office Team Leader, dealing with the day-to-day operation of our facilities. They will deputise for the Team Leader as necessary. The role will have a particular focus on the management of room lettings as well as support for our Joint Treasurers in the processing of invoices and payments using Xero accounting software (training provided).

The Administrator will help to ensure the building runs smoothly in support of our worship and witness, and is a safe and welcoming place for visitors, the local community, and our own congregation. They will support the Team Leader to ensure that Church Office cover is maintained when the building is open between 8.30am and 4.30pm each weekday.

This is a permanent, full-time role, though a job share would be considered. Employment is based on a 37-hour week, working Monday to Friday, and attracts an annual salary of £29,048 with 25 days paid holiday (pro rata in the case of a job share).

We are a partnership of Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed churches, but one church family worshipping together and learning to love God and serve others while we live out our call to be ‘a community where everyone can encounter the transforming love of Jesus.’

With a thriving congregation of around 200, we are based at the heart of the town’s Elvetham Heath development in a wonderful modern building bustling with events and activities seven days a week.

This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the launch of the church.
